Do I have to register to use the site ? How much does registration cost ? My C.V. details online - isn't this a potential security risk ? Who writes my entries in the site ? Do I have to make my own entries ? Can I change my entries - is that O.K. ? What happens when my vacancy is filled or the item sold etc. ? I have a lot of entries to make - is there a quicker way of entering them ? What if I want to have an extensive list of all my products with on-line ordering for my customers ? I've got a company website already - why should I appear on hospitality-work-shop ? |
1.Do I have to register to use the site ? No you don't - you can view Job Vacancies, Industry News and Events, Equipment Sales, Suppliers of Products and Services, Businesses for Sale or Lease and use the Forum - all without registering. There is also a whole 'Resource Room' full of useful information and links to other sites of interest - and you can add to this (we are always pleased to have useful information submitted by you that will assist others in the industry). 2.So what do I register for ? You do need to register to submit commercial information such as Job Vacancies, Your company's Product or Service, Surplus Equipment Sales, Businesses for Sale, to submit News and Events and to view our jobseekers' C.V.s.
3.My C.V. details online - isn't this a potential security risk ? Good point - but no. If you submit your c.v. including your name, address, phone no. etc. these are stored in our database, but when a prospective employer (who must be registered with Hospitality Work Shop ) views C.V.s the only details that they can see is your career history, qualifications and career aspirations. They have no idea who you are or where you live, but if they like what they read in your anonymous career profile they can contact you via your eMail address and it is then up to you if you want to pursue the opportunity. You are in control ! 6.Who writes my entries in the site ? You do - when you register you select a username and password for yourself and these enable you to make entries directly into our database. Remember that this database is 'live' so your entries are immediately available for other to see and they are on view 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 7.Do I have to make my own entries ? No. Many people still feel nervous about filling in forms on web sites, so after you have registered, send us an email with the information that you want entering and we'll do it for you and you are still free to edit or delete the entry. 8.Can I change my entries - is that O.K. ? YES ! You can change or delete your entries, including your registration details, as often as you like and at any time convenient to you - ideal if you are a trade supplier with 'specials' available at short notice. You'll never get a faster way of contacting your customers - it's immediate ! 9.What happens when my vacancy is filled or the item sold etc. ? Simply log on, go to the relevant section, click to edit the item and then press the 'delete' button and the entry is immediately removed from the database. 10.I have a lot of entries to make - is there a quicker way of entering them ? If you need to make a lot of entries and they are stored in any of the common database formats such as Access, SQL, Filemaker, Lotus etc we can add them directly to our database for you. 11.What if I want to have a list of all my products with on-line ordering for my customers ? We can arrange for you to have your own page on this site. The cost depends on what you want but remember that we want to price you in - not price you out ! 12.I've got a company website already - why should I appear on hospitality-work-shop ? You might like to consider an 'introductory' entry on Hospitality-Work-Shop, which should be seen by lots of people in the industry, with a link to your own site so increasing your own traffic.
